What does the pay structure look like?
The pay range is based on commission. Your efficiency directly affects your effective hourly rate – the faster and better you clean, the more you earn per hour. Expect to average between $25-$35 per hour based on job type and frequency.
Am I an employee or an independent contractor?
You would be an independent contractor (1099), not a W2 employee. This means you set your own schedule, bring your own supplies, and are responsible for your own taxes. In exchange, you get maximum flexibility and control over your work.
Do I need to have my own cleaning supplies?
Yes. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for bringing your own professional-grade cleaning supplies and a reliable vacuum to each job. Clients provide their own homes — you provide the expertise and the tools.
What if I don't have General Liability Insurance yet?
You must have General Liability Insurance before you start your first job. If you don’t currently have it, that’s okay — we can point you in the right direction. GLI is typically affordable for independent cleaners and is a one-time setup that protects you as well as the clients.
Do I have to take every job that's offered to me?
No. You control your calendar and your availability. We work with your schedule. We do ask that if you accept a job, you show up — reliability is the foundation of this partnership. But we will never pressure you to take more work than you want.
What areas do you serve?
We primarily serve the Greater Twin Cities area, including Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Edina, Plymouth, Minnetonka, Woodbury, Maple Grove, and surrounding communities. Candidates should live within approximately 35 minutes of Minneapolis.
What happens if a client isn't satisfied with a clean?
We operate on a 100% satisfaction guarantee for our clients, which means we handle client communication and any re-clean situations directly. We’ll document the situation with photos and work through it together. Clear expectations and checklists are part of your onboarding so you always know exactly what’s expected. 99% of challenges are easily solved through communication between you, our office, and the client. We truly partner to make sure the arrangement works for all.
